Welcome to New Jersey!
Most of you are staying at the Short Hills Hilton (41 John F. Kennedy Parkway, Short Hills, NJ). Self-parking is free for guests, and valet parking is available for a fee. The hotel has a large outdoor pool, tennis courts, an outdoor lounge, several restaurants, and is located across the road from the renowned Short Hills Mall and a short drive from the East Orange Golf Course.
For those arriving early there is lots to do nearby. Our house is walking distance to Memorial Park (playground, stream, and duck pond), our new library and Maplewood Village (with shops, coffee shops, restaurants, and bars), and the train into New York. Some of our favorite local activities include hiking in the South Mountain Reservation, visiting local downtown areas (Maplewood, South Orange, Historic Morristown, Chatham, Madison, and Summit), the Thomas Edison Home and National Historical Park, Washington’s Headquarters, and the South Mountain Recreation Complex which includes the Turtle Back Zoo, mini golf, a ropes course, paddle boats and playground.

We have chartered a dinner cruise from New Jersey into New York Harbor to commemorate Henry Albert's arrival to the United States in 1912 through New York Harbor and Ellis Island.
Departure will be from the Newport Yacht Club Jersey City at 5:15 pm. Please arrive by 4:45. With traffic, it will be about an hour drive from Maplewood/Short Hills; so plan to leave by 3:45 pm. The boat will not wait.
You can take a no toll path to get there and that is a good idea if you have an out-of-state car without EZ Pass. You can save yourself some stress and come to Jersey City early to visit Liberty State Park or get an award winning cocktail at Dullboy. Parking can be tricky in Jersey City; therefore, I recommend downloading the Spot Hero App and purchasing parking nearby in advance. There are multiple garages on Spot Hero within a 10-minute walk. Footwear: No high heels nor shoes with hard black soles. Wearing flats, sandals, or sneakers are highly recommended. Changing areas are available on the yacht. I recommend smart casual to business casual attire. It can get a little cool in the wind on the water; so you may want to bring a sweater or jacket.
Passengers may be dropped off on the left side of pier with restaurant "Batello".
Look for the white door marked "Zenith Charters".
All vehicles remaining parked must do so at the Westin Hotel Garage across Washington Bvd. Fees apply. No charter guests may remain parked on the Batello Pier.
We are also walkable from the PATH and Ferry stations at either Hoboken or Exchange Place.
